Safety Fest Tennessee
Safety Fest TN’s official kick-off is Tuesday, September 11, at the New Hope Center at the Y-12 National Security Complex (Y-12).
A lineup of Tuesday’s activities includes:
- 11:0a.m. – Black Hawk helicopter landing in the courtyard of Y-12.
- 9:00a.m. – Community Safety Forum, featuring nationally recognized motivational speaker, Chip Eichelberger, presenting Own It! http://getswitchedon.com/own-it.html.
- 12:30p.m. – Leadership Engagement Roundtable, moderated by Joe Estey, a Human Performance Improvement Specialist, and featuring top-level federal and contractor senior managers sharing their experiences in increasing the motivation and ability of their respective organizations to drive safety performance.
- 2:30p.m. – World Class Safety, featuring representatives from Valero and Total Safety In-Plant Service Center to present their respective safety programs that are the best of the best among local manufacturing facilities.
- 4:00p.m. – Review of the 35 Tennessee Workplace Fatalities 2017 by Steve Hawkins, TOSHA Administrator.
Including the activities above, over 100 free safety classes, sessions, and demonstrations will be provided during Safety Fest TN. Although free, registration is required to ensure there is enough space.
