Please join us for lunch for "Making Roane County the First K-14 Community in Tennessee" presented by Wade Creswell, CEO/President of the Roane Alliance.
K-14 is an educational model that incorporates Roane County's post-secondary institutions into public high school career pathways that enable students to graduate high school with a college degree or certificate.
Join Wade as he delivers a vision for education within Roane County and its potential to bring transformative change that can:
- Increase opportunities for our students to obtain a college degree or certificates
- Increase skills of our citizens to obtain higher paying jobs & earn higher lifetime earnings.
- Provide a new environment for learning and pathways to the careers of tomorrow
- Increase the number of qualified applicants for our businesses and increasing competitiveness
- Reverse the downward population trends in our county that lead to a "death spiral."
- Increase new housing developments, new retail growth and economic growth
- Give our kids a reason to stay in or come back home to Roane County
- Reverse our Opioid Epidemic - which is killing one person every 12 days - in Roane County

Fees/Admission
Lunch is provided to RCEA members and first-time guest of non-member organizations. Additional attendees from RCEA member organizations pay $15 to attend the meeting. The first-time representative of non-member organizations are our guest, other non-members pay $20 to attend the meeting.
