Paint Roane County Purple!

Join us April 6th-10th....

Wouldn't life be better if everything was purple?
We think so! That is why beginning in April, Roane County is turning PURPLE!
Join the celebration in support of Relay For Life, the American Cancer Society's largest event and the world's biggest fundraiser with more than 3 million participants worldwide. During this community event, teams walk around a track, relay style, to raise funds, celebrate survivorship, and remember ose lost to cancer. Prior to Relay we are encouraging businesses to Paint their downtown Purple in support of the event. 

The Relay for Life Committee of Roane County is hosting a special "Power of Purple" Award for the business/town that does the best job of showing its "purple power". An award will also be given to the town that raises the most money. Businesses will be judged the week of April 6th, and the winner will be announced at Relay for Life on May 2nd.
