John Muir Festival
"Most heavenly place I ever entered," is what John Muir wrote about seeing Roane County on his 1,000-mile trek to Florida 150 years ago. This is a Celebration of Land and Song to honor the 'Father of the National Park System.
Join us for a day of live music, Sturgeon release, conservation and ecology talks, demonstrations, and gourmet food trucks.
While at the festival, enter to win a Jackson Kayak from Uncle Lem's Mountain Outfitters and a weekend stay in an RV at Caney Creek RV Resort on Watts Bar Lake. Winner will be announced at the festival but does not have to be present to win but the only way to win - post favorite Roane photos on Roane County Visitors Bureau Facebook page with #SoakinRoane.
