"Chasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict"
The Roane County Anti-Drug Coalition will be presenting "Chasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict" on Friday, February 2 at 6:00 PM EST.
The film was released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to combat the growing opioid epidemic and is aimed at educating students and young adults about the dangers of addiction.
Following the film, Neil Morgenstern, who is a former DEA agent will provide information on opioids and then Kent Stephens with WIVK will host a panel discussion with local representatives. The community is encouraged to attend this free event and to ask questions. The doors will open at 5:30 PM EST to provide individuals with the opportunity to visit with professionals in the fields of mental health, prevention, treatment and recovery.
