2015 TN Polk Salad Festival
Tennessee Polk Salad Festival 2015
The Tennessee Polk Salad Festival will return to the David Webb Riverfront Park in Harriman, Tennessee. The Festival is hosted by the Arts Council of Roane County with an emphasis on the arts, crafts, and foods of our region. Art touches us all, and the Festival will encourage feelings of creativity and self-expression for all as everyone is encouraged to express their creative talents through music, performance, literature, and visual arts.
The signature artistic event of this year’s Festival is the Poke Mosaic area where attendees will be encouraged to design a mosaic wall with colored papers. This temporary art installation will combine the creative efforts of all to make an impressive outdoor visual feast of colors and patterns.
The range of Festival events will include musical performances, literary readings, street performers, kid art and activity tables, and artisan demonstrations for unique experiences of our local performing, written, and visual arts. The Festival will feature a percussive musical area hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of Roane County and a fun and challenging play area hosted by United Way of Roane County. The Festival promises to be a dynamic, collaborative, and multi-sensory experiences for artists and audiences alike.
