Roane County Household Hazardous Waste Day

Spring cleaning just got easier!   Head to the Roane County Recycling Center on Saturday, March 15 for a FREE and SAFE way to dispose of household hazardous waste.

Items like paint thinner, antifreeze, pesticides, and gasoline should never go in the trash - bring them to the recycling center instead!  Proper disposal protects our environment and community.

Household only-businesses, schools, and farms must schedule an appointment.

No medical waste (except needles and sharps in puncture-proof containers), explosives, or radioactive materials. 

Paint is accepted Tuesdays at the Post Oak Convenience Center (123 Post Oak Road, Rockwood).
