Hazardous Waste Collection Event

Roane County will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, October 30 at the Roane County Recycling Center. 

Show your support for keeping Tennessee clean and safe by properly disposing of your household hazardous waste.

Everyone is encouraged to participate by gathering old cleaners, fuels, pesticides, automotive fluids, etc.  

Paint and electronics are not accepted during this event.  Residents may dispose of up to ten gallons of latex and oil-based paints each Tuesday from 7:30 am until 5:00 pm at the Post Oak Convenience Center in Rockwood.  Electronics may be recycled in metal container or items may be taken to ROANEnet in Harriman.

This is a great opportunity for you to make a difference.  By safely disposing of these materials, you are protecting the environment and others from being harmed.
