Smarter than your Smartphone

You know you can do more with your smartphone than what you are using it for now, likely much more. If you want to learn how to use it for more, attend one or both of our smartphone classes and you can become “smarter than your smartphone.”

Attend the basic and/or advanced class for iOS or Android operating systems (OS), taught by someone whose job it is to be “smart about smartphones.”

For the sessions, iOS users will need access to their iCloud account; Android users will need to access their Gmail account.

 
BASIC LEVEL
•    Walk around of the phone (power, volume, home)
•    Showing multiple home screens
•    Notification window (think-tank of the phone)
•    Icons at top of screen
(Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc.)
•    Briefly talk about apps
(manufacturer, google, and Verizon)
•    How to move an icon to the main screen
•    Google play store
•    GPS

ADVANCED LEVEL
•    Basic Troubleshooting
•    Cloud services (google, Verizon)
•    What the Cloud is and why it is important
•    Connected Devices (Bluetooth, chrome cast, etc.)
•    Hot Spot Capabilities and its effects on the phone
•    Roaming
•    More in depth features in settings
•    Email other than Gmail
•    Text messaging
•    Screen Shot
•    Advanced Camera Features
