Open Art Show

The Arts Council is committed to promoting art and artists to the community and this event showcases some of the best art from around the region. Entry fee is $30 or $10 for members, seniors, and students and includes a one-year membership in ACRC. To kick-off the show we will host a fundraiser Chili/Soup Supper at the Kingston Community Center on Tuesday, November 15 from 5:00 till 7:00 PM. A bowl of homemade soup or chili with sides will cost only $10; for an additional $10 you may select a handcrafted pottery bowl for your meal and to take home. Desserts will also be available. All money earned will help fund future activities of the Arts Council. This year the show will be at the Kingston Community Center from November 15 until November 18. This event is open to all artists in all media. You do not have to be a resident of Roane County. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, First Place, Second Place, and Third Place. The judge last year was Bryan Wilkerson, adjunct professor of art at Roane State Community College. Winners included Pam Fowler, Larry Gabbard, and Rachael Nelson.
