DESCRIPTION:One of the more popular campaigns of the Shop Roane program is the annual shopping spree contest that launches in November and runs several weeks leading up to Christmas.  The Chamber understands this is a very important time when local businesses are looking to increase sales while having to compete with online and much larger stores during the holiday shopping season.  This contest encourages customers to visit those participating businesses and shop while there.\n\nThe 2021 Shop Where Your Heart Is contest will officially begin on Monday\, November 16th. Participating businesses will be announced once the contest begins. Shoppers who attend (and shop!) the Jingle & Mingle Market hosted by the Roane Chamber on November 13th and 14th will have the first chance to enter the contest!\n\nThe Roane Chamber hopes everyone will Shop Local this holiday season!  And be sure to visit any (or all) of the participating businesses and enter the Roane Chamber's annual shopping spree contest for a chance to win a minimum of $800!\n\nTo become a participating business\, you must have a store front in Roane County with regular posted business hours.  The cost to participate is $100 per business that will go toward the cash prizes and advertising.  Each participating business will receive entry forms and a box for their store. The Chamber will promote each of the participating businesses on social media\, on the radio and in the Roane County News during the weeks of the contest.\n\nCustomers may enter the contest at any participating business for a chance to win up to $800 in prizes.  Several winners will split the prizes\, depending on the number of participating businesses.\n\nTypically\, winners are drawn during the annual Roane Alliance Christmas Open House\, but due to COVID-19 the 2021 open house will not be held. Winners will be drawn and announced by Tuesday\, January 4 on the Roane Chamber Facebook page and will receive an email and/or call per the info provided on the entry form.
