DESCRIPTION:Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Webinar: Social Media and Workplace Implications - Presented by Debra Finney\, EEOC Memphis District\n\n\n\nThe U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of  the person's race\, color\, religion\, sex (including pregnancy\, transgender status\, and sexual orientation)\, national origin\, age (40 or older)\, disability or genetic information.\n\n\n\nPreventing employment discrimination from occurring in the workplace in the first place is preferable to remedying the consequences of discrimination. The EEOC is committed to providing training\, technical assistance\, outreach and education programs on any matter related to EEO laws.
