Roane County, TN, June 1, 2015 – Around the country, Chamber memberships are dwindling.  But the Roane County Chamber has plans to reverse that trend by hosting a Membership Expansion event unlike any this community has ever seen.

“Our goal is to bring 100 new members to the Chamber in just two days!” Chamber President Wade Creswell explained, “The Roane Chamber is the voice for business in Roane County, and we want our voice to be louder tomorrow than it was yesterday.”

It’s a daunting task, but Creswell has plenty of help lined up, bringing in a large number of fellow members to volunteer their time.  Annette Medlin, a Membership Development consultant from Greenville, SC (www.annettemedlin.com) has also been enlisted to bring her experience in expanding membership and amplifying the Chamber message to Roane County.  Medlin has already been working with the Chamber staff, the Board of Directors & dozens of volunteers preparing them for a successful event. “This is a volunteer led event and the Chamber has been working diligently to secure those volunteers.” said Annette Medlin.  “Using the relationships of our volunteers and their passion for the Chamber not only expands the number of members, but also increases community awareness of the important role the Chamber plays here in Roane County.”

The event is scheduled for June 11 – 12.    “We’re ready!” said Wade Creswell.  “This is an exciting time for our community and I know we’re ALL up to the challenge!”  For more information on how you can get involved in the campaign and help support the growth of business in and around our community, contact Paulette Ray at 865-376-5572 or email chamber@roanealliance.org.
