DESCRIPTION:Watts Bar Paddle - Spring 2022\n\nBy the Roane County Tennessee RiverLine Leadership Team\n\n\n\nJoin us for a group paddle on Watts Bar Lake on May 21\, 2022. \n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\nThis permitted event allows kayaking\, paddle boarding\, and canoeing enthusiasts to connect as a community in a safe and responsible way.\n\n\n\nPlease be sure to register et  Watts Bar Paddle-Spring 2022 Tickets\, Sat\, May 21\, 2022 at 8:30 AM | Eventbrite for this event as information on routes\, safety\, liability\, weather updates\, and other important details will be emailed before the event.\n\n\n\nLaunch & Route: We will launch from Long Island Marina and paddle to 58 Landing with the option to stop at Southwest Point and tour the area.    We encourage you to be prepared to launch around 8:15 am with a scheduled launch at 8:30 am. However\, depending on the fog\, launching could be later.  Each participant is responsible for their own transportation from the end point back to the launch.\n\n\n\nAddresses:\n\nLong Island Marina\, 1060 Paint Rock Ferry Road\, Kingston\, TN 37763\n\n\n\nAdditional Information: We encourage you to pack a light lunch\, plenty of water\, binoculars\, and all other adequate gear for kayaking! Make sure to follow the Roane County Government's Facebook page and the Roane County Visitor's Bureau social media pages @VisitRoane to get the most up-to-date information on this event\, other upcoming events\, and much more!\n\n\n\nIn the event of forecasted weather creating unsafe conditions\, this event will be rescheduled to Saturday\, June 4\, 2022. A post will be shared on social media and an email will be sent to participants notifying them.\n\n\n\nThis event has been organized by Roane County's Tennessee RiverLine 652 Leadership Team in partnership with the Roane County Visitor's Bureau and Roane County Government.\n\n\n\nTo ensure the safety of all attendees\, this event will require the following:\n\n	each participant is encouraged to register for the event in order for event organizers to send important information regarding the event\;\n	each participant is responsible for their own transportation from the end point back to the launch\;\n	each participant must provide their own water and snacks for this event\;\n	each participant will be encouraged to complete a brief virtual Safety Orientation before launching their craft\;\n	all minors must be accompanied by an adult\;\n	each participant is encouraged to adopt Leave No Trace principles.
