SUMMARY:Smokin' the Water July 4 Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Car show will be at 9 am.  Registration is at 8:30 am.\n\nParade begins at 12 noon.\n\n\n\nSmokin' the Water July 4th Festival!\n\nHeld on the Waterfront in Kingston\n\nCelebrate Independence Day on the water in Kingston!  Live music\, food vendors\, and fun for the whole family!  This is a free event hosted by the City of Kingston. \n\nThe gates will open at 1:30 pm.  \n\n\n\nThe BBQ Cookoff (held July 3rd) winners will be announced at 2 pm on the big stage\, with BBQ vendors open and ready for business during the event. \n\n\n\nFor the children and youth\, more activities\, games\, bouncers and rides will be added over the previous years. Alien laser tag\, a mechanical bull\, and little paddle cars will be located at Kingston City Park.\n\n\n\nThe Raft Race is back again as one of the most anticipated events. It will begin at 4:00 pm.   This year participants can win money in addition to awards.  $175 cash goes to the "Golden Paddle" winner\, while 2nd place receives $150\, and the winner of the "All Women's Crew" wins an award + $100.  If you enter as a church youth group and you cross the finish line first  you win not only the "Youth Group Award" but also $75.  $50 will be given to the raft that is the "Most Patriotic."\n\n\n\nSchedule of Events\n\n\n\nCar Show at 8:00 am.
