DESCRIPTION:Announcing the First Ever Rockwood Forest Trails Summer 5K\n\n\n\nThe City of Rockwood and Rockwood Parks & Recreation are playing host to a 5k Trail Run\, Saturday\, June 23\, 2018.  The race will begin at 7:30 a.m. with registration beginning at 6:30 a.m.  Sign up will be at the pavilion inside the complex.\n\n\n\nThere are some steep downhill sections and some steep uphill sections and water and mud.  Actual trails will make up 2.42 miles of the total distance. The course will follow the entrance trail to School House\, School House to Beech to Grapevine to Zig Zag to Train Ride and back along School House and Entrance to the Start-Finish.\n\n\n\nFor more information visit Rockwood Forest Trails on Facebook. \n\n\n\nThe entry form has an "assumption of risk" section that participants must sign. It says you know all about the risks of trail runs and promise to be safe. We plan to have one water station but hand held runner's water bottles are strongly recommended in addition.
