SUMMARY:Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events
DESCRIPTION:Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events\n\n\n\nBrought to you by Roane County Sheriff's Office \n\nPresented by Lieutenant Kris Mynatt\n\n \n\nWhen an active assailant\, such as a gunman\, opens fire\, on average nearly a dozen injuries and at least three deaths are predicted based on statistical data. Being prepared is the best tool for survival\, for both you and your employees.\n\n\n\nNo one wants to think an active shooter will enter their workplace\, but the fact is it could happen and it seems to be happening with increased frequency. Fortunately\, you can train employees to respond to an active assailant attack in ways that can minimize their risk of injury and death.\n\n\n\nJoin Lieutenant Kris Mynatt as he presents the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course\, designed and built on the Avoid\, Deny\, Defend strategy developed by Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) in 2004.\n\n\n\nThe CRASE course provides strategies\, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics covered include:\n\n The history and prevalence of active shooter events\n\n The role of professional guardians\n\n Civilian response options\n\n Medical issues\n\n Drills\n\n\n\nThis is a free workshop. Space is limited.\n\n\n\n\nRegister Online or call 865-376-5572 to reserve your spot! To register\, provide your name\, email address and telephone number.\n\n\n\nRoane State Community College will give Continuing Education Units (CEU) for this workshop
