SUMMARY:16th Annual Walden Ridge Marching Festival
DESCRIPTION:Walden Ridge Marching Festival to be held on October 23\, 2021. \n\n\n\nHarriman High School \n\n\n\nWe will continue the tradition of hosting both an unscored festival in the early afternoon followed by a scored competition in the evening. Bands who choose to do both will have the opportunity to hear judges tapes from the festival before competing. \n \n\nAdjudication \n\nA panel of three judges will evaluate each band's performance in the caption of Music Performance\, Music Effect\, Marching Performance\, Visual Effect\, General Effect. This will affect the bands overall score and placement.\n\nPercussion\, Color Guard\, and Drum Major will be judged\, scored\, and placed by separate judges.\n\n\n\nAll judges will be in the pressbox and will use Tennessee Bandmasters Association scoring sheets.\n\nAny band taking more than 15 minutes from field entry to exit will be docked 2 points from their final tabulated score. \n \n\nCompetition\n\nAlong with scores\, 1st and 2nd place trophies will be awarded to the highest scoring bands and captions in each class. Caption awards will be given for percussion\, color guard\, and drum major. All bands will be acknowledged for their performance during awards. Scoring is as follows:\n\nSuperior- Grade I: 80-100\n\nExcellent- Grade II: 65-79 \n\nGood- Grade III: Below 65 \n\n\n\nClass Divisions \n\nA: 1-24 players AA: 25-49 players AAA: 50-80 players AAAA: 81+ players \n\n\n\nFees \n\nFor bands participating in either the festival or competition ONLY\, entry is $75. For bands participating in both\, entry is $100.
